Bishop Whittaker began his ministry in
1968 as an unlicensed minister with the
Church of God. He served as an
evangelist, ministering across the state,
and anywhere else the doors were
opened.
In April of 1970, Bishop Whittaker took
his wife Joyce, and their children to Cass
City, Michigan, where they founded a
new work for the Church of God. He and
his family remained at Cass City for
seven years, as the Senior Pastor.

In March of 1977 he and his family moved to the city of Monroe to become the Senior Pastor of Victory
Temple Church of God. He and his wife have faithfully served the Monroe congregation now, for more
than 32 years.
